A Charging Station is a piece of infrastructure that consists of one or more charging points for electrically or hybrid-powered vehicles; they are commonly called charge points.

In designing the charging stations, the first step was to conduct a site-by-site review in order to determine the existing equipment’s adequacy for the planned infrastructure, also for the purpose of adjusting the sizing of the distribution grid. One of the main considerations for this type of design process was the complexity and vastness of the territory, with various characteristics and peculiarities being identified for each of the locations in question, above all in terms of landscape, infrastructure, and underground utilities.
